Welcome to Edge of the Wild, a roleplaying site that circles around a village called Veldarces and the forest that it is in constant war with.
There is a town near a great forest. The spot is beautiful. Luscious green trees dominate the forest, and rivers flow freely in and out of them. Looking down at the village and forest, there would seem to be a great peace settling over the whole.
But alas, that is not so. A constant war rages between the people and the wild beasts which roam the forest. There is talk among the villagers that there are new, strange, different animals in the forest... animals that think and talk like a man, animals that wish to attack and destroy the little village. And so, in a great struggle between man and nature, a choice is formed. Will the humans gain control of the forest, or will the animals destroy the village?
The choice is yours.
Join as a were-animal in the forest, or as a village member. Fight against each other or make forbidden pacts. Make friends and enemies in this fantasy roleplay.

Fairytales & Mysterious « Result #1 on Jul 10, 2008, 11:47am »
&&_fairytales and mysteries an intermediate-advanced warrior role-play site
---- A sleek red cat lay curled into a tight ball against the winter cold. As the she-cat breathed, white puffs of what looked like smoke came from her nose. Suddenly, she awoke to feel a slight breeze against her back. But that was impossible; no wind could seep through the rock den around her.
But it wasn't the wind that had caused this breeze.
A sweet scent; a rather familiar one, at that; entered the den. Garnetstar sat up and watched the vine-covered den entrance, expecting to see a cat come through any second now. To her surprise and nervousness, nobody came through. But the scent was a cat's scent; a cat had to be somewhere in the den. Weakly, her voice faltering from fear of this 'invisible' cat, she called out,"Who's... Who's th...there?"
She was expecting a cat to creep out from the shadows of her den. But instead, a she-cat just appeared from nowhere to stand in front of Froststar. At the sight of this cat, relief flooded through the leader's tensed body.
It was Specklecloud, the former medicine cat of Flightclan. She has died over 50 moons ago to join Starclan. She must have come here to give me a message Garnetstar though.
The medicine cat's jaws parted and formed the words softly."Three will become four.... Death will rule and blood will spill until three learns to become one."
And then, so quickly Garnetstar wasn't sure whether or not she had even been there at all, Specklecloud disappeared. ----
Flyya :: Were « Result #3 on May 1, 2008, 5:32pm »
Name:: Flyya (Fley-ah)
Animal:: Hawk
Appearance:: Flyya is a large golden hawk with an amazing wingspan of nearly 6 ft wingtip to wingtip. She has a natural array of spots along her chest and back, and a small but very sharp beak. Her eyes are a stormy gray and she has an amazing golden-yellow tail.
In human form, Flyya has soft, medium-length, golden-brown hair and stormy gray eyes. Her fingers are long like talons while still managing to look natural, and her fingernails are sharpened to a point. She has large, golden wings that sprout from her back, but in human form it is far more difficult for Flyya to fly than it is in hawk form. Instead of gaining a tail in human form, the back of Flyya's legs are covered in golden feathers.
Personality:: Flyya is harsh and almost evil. She has a friendly nature normally, but also a tendency to want to eat smaller animals. Flyya can be sarcastic and snippy, and tends to want her own way. She wouldn't hesitate to save her own life, making it somewhat difficult for her to help others in danger. Flyya is bold and headstrong, but certainly not shy, and she has an evil grudge against humans. Flyya is adventurous, making it enjoyable for her to try and steal bits of food from the humans, despite dangerous arrows.
History:: Flyya was born a were and brought up to hate humans with her brother, another were-hawk. She learned to despise them more than usually when they came in and killed her brother and father, who had been trying to wreak havoc in the human village. Flyya and her mother managed to make the humans regret their actions, but later, when she was older, Flyya's mother flew away from both village and forest, looking for another, slightly more peaceful area. The plan was for her to return, but she hasn't arrive yet. So Flyya remained and waited, meeting other weres and taunting the humans. Eventually, Flyya forgot about her mother nearly entirely, and instead remains happily and mischievously at her home.
Amaris [were] « Result #4 on Apr 27, 2008, 1:28pm »
Name:: Amaris
Animal:: Wolf
Appearance:: In human *form* Amaris is a tall blond girl with strange eyes her left eye is blue but her right is a greeny-grey (if they wear clothes) she wears a long black sued coat with leather trousers she wears a black lace up shirt under the coat but this can never be seen.
In wolf form Aramis is a large black wolf her eye color changes but only slightly the blue becomes darker but because the green is already very dark this doesn't change at all. her fur is the same color as the clothing she wears but seems to have a tint of red and climbing her ankles on all four legs it seems to be fire because the fur here is a dark blood red.
Personality:: Amaris is a very solitary were but if she is doing a attack with a group she will try and take charge and lead them to a successful attack. when alone Amaris is often quiet if confronted by one that she doesn't know she will stand her ground and make sure that it is only one or however many there could be.Her ways are dark she dose not see sense in argument's as they often lead to fights not that she doesn't like fights she will kill any that she needs to and wont even ask a question.
History:: Well where to start, she works in a group if anyone will go with her but quite often none will she has never understood this but doesn't care she never has. So she was out on a hunt like normal when she was separated from the small group she was with one of them seeing her sister she sworn to protect her younger sister with her life but this time she had failed.All were dead apart from Amaris she was wounded she could barely walk but knew she had to get somewhere other than here. what had happened to her changed her completely she has never been the same since the death of her group and her sister.
[I hope it is all long enough and if you need anything done tell me i am happy to help with plot like get it running etc]
Council Member Tryouts « Result #5 on Apr 15, 2008, 6:09pm »
If you have read about the village information, then you should know that there is a council that runs the whole shebang. ^^ The people who roleplay the council members will also be my mini-moderators. Unfortunately, that means I can't just have anybody playing them.
So, as soon as we have around fifteen active members or so, I'm going to hold tryouts for becoming a council member/mini-mod. You'll have to tell me what makes you best for the job. (Please no PMs/posts right now, it's once we have fifteen active members!)
That'll also include that you have to keep your council character active, continue to be active on this site, and take responsibility as well as helping me out when we're slow on activity or plotliness.
Have you ever dreamed of owning wolves? Well then Forest of Fieros may just be for you. These wolf like creatures come in their own breeds and colors, and nearly each one is uniquie! You can train your Fiero or enter it in contests. You are able to teach the intelligent creatures tricks and abilities, or just snuggle up and love it! Each fiero can even have adorable puppies that all are unique! If it sounds too good to be true, it amazingly is a fact! If you wish to own such beautiful creatures and all of their traits, join the Forest of Fieros! You're always welcome!
Yet another Warriors RP site from me. I tried a new style with more codes this time. There's not much to say about it yet . . . it just opened a couple of hours ago. This Warriors RP takes place in the time before they moved to the new forest, and before the journey to the Sun-drown Place. Hopefully I'll get the plot done soon so it can be put by the time Summer break starts, or sooner. Thanks for taking the time to look at this and the site! Hope you like it. :3

Village Information « Result #10 on Mar 26, 2008, 6:57pm »
There are several different jobs that need to be taken care of in the village. None are single-gender jobs with the exception of witch and wizard (only titles), but they all need to be equally taken care of. When you create a village character, they must have or be apprentice to one of these jobs.
Hunter: ::Hunter's go into the forest to gather food for the village. ::As well as getting the food, hunter's must skin and cook the meal. ::Hunter's usually serve the meal as well. ::There are some 'hunter shifts' - certain hunter's go out at certain times, but otherwise they get to rest. (This should not be an important point in roleplay.)
Cleaner: ::Cleaner's are the ones that take care of the houses, streets, and effects. ::Cleaner's also clean up after the meal. ::Because of the town size and lack of cleaners, all cleaners are on duty at all times. ::The cleaning job, though quite important, is not so strictly enforced as the other jobs - thus, many lazy cleaners manage to get out of duty.
Engineers: ::Engineers are the ones that build things such as buildings, weapons, and even clothes. ::Because there are so many different styles of things, engineer apprentices stay apprentices for longer than other apprentices. ::Engineers have no shifts - they make things when they're needed.
Witch/Wizard: ::There is only one witch and one wizard at a time, as well as their apprentices. ::Wizards and witches are in charge of healing broths as well as strengthening broths. ::The witch and wizard are also community confidants - they are usually the first people that others turn to for advice or to keep a secret.
Council: ::The council consists of the wizard, witch, and the head of each job. ::The council decides on the village's actions as a democracy. ::If there is a challenge against the council from three or more villagers, a group of villagers gathers with the council to decide the result.
